Therapy

It's no secret to people who know me that I am on medication for depression and have, as part of my treatment undergone counselling.  Mostly I am well, and deal with situations in my life as they arise.  But it is a daily progression, and some days are better than others.  And the last few have not  be so great.     But writing stuff down is great therapy - I have written today's post at least half a dozen times, each time deleting huge sections of it, then writing another great long post, and deleting it and writing something else.

I may not have saved it, and I may not be sharing it with the world at large, but the very fact that I wrote it down helped.

And what I also did today was make a couple of cards.   And take pictures of them.  And also took a photo of the Barbara Gray Artwork that I was lucky enough to win on Create and Craft TV.

One photo below is the card my friend asked me to make for her son for his birthday, one is my first attempt at an "on the shelf" card from the MCS Papercraft library CDs and the 3rd is the barbara gray artwork.  If they don't go up in that order I'll let you guess which is which.

Late night/Early morning wishes from this part of cyberspace

  1. Both your cards are brilliant and so different too. I love the Barbara Grey card you won and I watched how she did it. The way she created the road was simple but I'd never have thought of doing it the way she did. She's amazing and her and Sue Wilson who sometimes appears with Creative Expressions are my favourite stampers.

Some stuff about the stuff in the blog

Hello

Very new at this blogging lark, so forgive me if I get a bit befuddled. User name is derived from my maiden name of George and the fact that by the time the Olympics are held in the UK in 2012, I will look as if I could compete. And not as a sumo wrestler.

For starters there is only one blog with contain my thoughts, but this might evolve into 3 or 4 when I work out what I'm doing.

In the main it will cover my slimming journey, my quilting exploits, my get fit and stay fit campaign, and my photography. Not forgetting my recent TrollBead obsession.

Should I ever get a lovelife you might get glimpses of that as well.
