Yesterday I went to the shops, mainly to buy some catfood. I came home with a double bed duvet set and sheets, some capri fitness trousers, 4 pairs of running socks, a pair of padded cycling leggings, a pair of cycling/running gloves, a padded cycle saddle cover, a stopwatch (professional), 2 dresses from a charity shop for when I'm thin enough to wear them, a project notepad, and of course, 3 boxes of catfood.
The day before I had purchased some replacement sunglasses for the ones I left on the train.
I should now be prepared to commence of my fitness regime, which had started half heartedly a few months ago, but now I have signed up to complete the Bath Half 2010. This is a half marathon which takes place on March 7 2010. It's the day before my 43rd birthday.
I have also subscribed to Runner's World magazine for 2 years, which has a free gift of a windproof jacket. As I have to do my training throughout the autumn and winter, it will be invaluable.
I went out to do some training earlier, run for a 1 minute, walk for 2 minutes. I have a 10 week schedule to get me fit enough to run for 20-30 minutes non stop, at which point I can start the official "half marathon" training plan. Tomorrow I will cycle.
Oh my golly gosh - I have just received a phone call from my Slimming World group leader to tell me I have been nominated for "Woman of the Year" competition. This surely deserves another trollbead. I am going to purchase Venus, to remind me that all women, whatever their shape or size are absolutely gorgeous.
I will have poached egg on toast for my lunch, whilst watching the Triathalon World Championship series - UK leg is held in London, on the 2012 Olympic course.
I will quilt later.
